The new Regional Championships of Online Poker will kick off on the 31st October this year, and run into early 2011. There is over $7 million in cash prizes up for grabs this fall season and Poker Stars is footing the bill. These tournaments are scheduled to take place over 13 regions and don't worry, the fact that it kicks off on Halloween across 13 regions is only a coincidence, it is not designed to bring anyone any bad luck; remember 13 is only unlucky for some. These regions include Russia, Baltic countries, Central and Eastern Europe, Nordic countries, USA, Canada, Asia-Pacific, Germany, UK and Ireland, Mediterranean countries, Latin America, Iberian countries and Benelux countries.

Each region will host its own 11 tournament series and you might be happy to know that "Kid Poker" will be playing in the Canadian series. If you don't know who Kid Poker is, this is Daniel Negreanu! As well as Mr. Negreanu Team Poker Stars pros will be competing regionally too, with a load of cash on the line as well as local bragging rights.

Also new to the RCOOP is the fact that poker players will be able to chat in their own language for the first time, and for the duration of the competition; this is normally restricted to English. Find the full schedule and more information on the Poker Stars RCOOP web site.

Also in Poker news, is Daniel Negeanu again and his apparent enchantment with Liv Boeree. She has been recently signed as a Team Poker Stars Pro, and apparently he cannot get over himself with glee, this lovable Canadian professional poker player has spoken about his…ahem...fondness for her; apparently to anyone who will listen. He is reputed to have enjoyed a sexually charged dance-off with Liv (aka the Iron Maiden) at a party last year, and supposedly spent even more time with her when she officially signed with Poker Stars in London. She is a lot more than just a pretty face, she has the legs, the brains and the poker skills to match, and according to Kid Poker she was the top free agent available. He gushes about her when he says "We signed Liv Boeree! I was very excited", sounds like he may be looking for a marriage made in heaven.

In fact Daniel's latest blog lists five lengthy reasons why she will makes such a great addition to the Poker Stars team and we can't help think that perhaps he protesteth a little too much. He recons she is a "top package", a legit player, has plenty of cashes to her name, and she is very photogenic, judging by her latest FHM cover. He tells us that she is approachable with the fans, she has a great smile, is attractive, is likeable and everybody loves her, she is articulate and on and on it goes. I would place a proposition bet on the fact that he may be more than just a little in love, I wonder how Liv feels, she is 10 years his junior?
