Jason Senti is a well-known name in the poker sphere, and also one of the casualties the Black Friday in online poker (April 15 when the Department of Justice shut down three biggest online poker sites) left behind. Playing poker online was what Senti used to do for living and now he has to look for jobs elsewhere and maybe concentrate on live tournaments (yes, we will see a lot of him at this year’s WSOP). Last year, Jason Senti outlasted a field of 7,319 players making it into the November Nine and, although he dropped off at the 7th place, he still won enough to buy a house for his family. As he says, he’s been lucky that the poker website of his choice was PokerStars since this operator has already refunded money to their former U.S. players. However, with the online poker operators, many doors have shut down to Senti and living as a professional poker player just became tougher.
