The 2011 crowned a new rather shy poker star – a 19-year old Martin Drewe from New Castle who won the Opening Event collecting $200,020 that goes with the championship ring. The first time Martin drew (really, not Drew) attention his direction was the ANZPT at the Crown casino in Melbourne last year where is cashed in at three events. The young player claims he’s been playing poker for only a year and a half, learning much of the action in a pub where he is a regular. He’s planning on to take a big part in the 2011 Australian Poker Circuit. In the Aussie Millions event, Martin had a total of 762 players to eliminate. Amongst these, he fought names like Annette Obrestad and Tony Dunst.
